workshop-overview
About the Workshop

East Coast Print School is the creative endeavor of Suffolk based designer, teacher and printmaker Victoria Freeland.

Victoria studied her craft at the prestigious Chelsea school of Art in London and went on to work in the fashion and interior print design industry for over 10 years, creating and selling her designs worldwide. She has been sharing her skills throughout her career as a design studio manger in London, freelance textile designer and as an art and textiles teacher in schools in London, Essex and Suffolk.

Victoria has developed a workshop to facilitate the exploration of a variety of printmaking techniques such as mono printing and collagraph printing, which will take place in the beautiful and inspiring creative space in The Pin Mill Studio on the banks of the river Orwell or at the light and airy The Cooks Shed in Woodbridge.

The workshop is entirely suitable for beginners and all materials are provided. It is a chance to play with effects and techniques and enjoy the beautiful evolutions and happy accidents that are the very essence of experimental printmaking. Victoria will guide and support you to create exciting and original print samples on fine quality papers and fabrics, inspired by the charming local coastline, so you will finish your day by the river, feeling confident, able and inspired, and with beautiful prints to take home.
